About Us
Sean and Sybille Good are the directors and founders of Good African Tours.
A husband-and-wife team, they first met in Switzerland while working in the tourism industry. They married in 2013 and now have one daughter. For the last several years, they have been living between Switzerland and Tanzania. They share a love for travelling and meeting new people, as well as a passion for Tanzania’s natural beauties.
Sybille Good
Sybille was born in Grindelwald, Switzerland in the Swiss Alps. Intrigued by Africa from an early age, she first came to Tanzania in 2010 as a volunteer in development and social work. In 2011, Sybille and a friend decided to branch out on their own, launching the non-profit organisation and charity “Simbas Footprints” (www.simbasfootprints.org), a children’s home whose mission is to help vulnerable children and orphans in Moshi. “Though the children’s home is challenging work,” says Sybille, “there is nothing more rewarding than running my own charity alongside a profitable tourism company, as it gives me the opportunity to give back to the local community and keep things in perspective.”
Sybille’s experience in tourism and her love for Africa ensure that each client’s needs and desires are completely fulfilled.
Sean Good
Sean is originally from Adelaide, Australia. In 2006 he moved to Switzerland to pursue a career in tourism. His childhood fascination with African wildlife, mountains, and culture accompanied him into his adult years and led him to Tanzania in 2011 to travel and volunteer at Simbas Footprints. Sean’s experiences that year sensitized him to the importance of community development and also gave him the opportunity to discover Tanzania’s natural wonders first-hand. During 2013, Sean also began freelancing for a local safari company, further deepening his knowledge of Tanzania’s tourism industry and providing him with lots of practice creating itineraries for clients and ironing out travel and accommodation logistics.
The Sean/Sybille Team
In addition to their individual skills and talents, Sybille and Sean share sensitivity to cultural differences and particularities, thanks to their experiences living in various countries (including Australia, Switzerland, England, and Tanzania). This enables them to understand and fulfil the needs and desires of a varied international clientele. One of their primary goals is to ensure that Good African Tours maintains high-quality standards at all times, with reliable services for every client.
